About the event
***This event has been set up for the Berkshire/Hampshire Love Her Wild group. If you are interested in attending but are not yet part of the group, please get in touch.
What's it all about?
Navigation is the key to many outdoor adventures and a fantastic skill to help you feel confident independently outdoors. This event will introduce the basic skills of navigation using a map, building them up progressively to give you a navigation 'toolkit' to take away for future adventures. This is perfect for those new to navigating or who want to build their confidence. There are no silly questions or limits on repeating information - you just need to come and have a go! We will also chat about the things we see along the way including wildlife and history.
What do I need to know?
You don't need to be super fit or speedy but you should be able to walk at least 6km/4miles, be comfortable moving over uneven footpaths, up a couple of little hills and over a stile or two. Wear supportive, grippy footwear, bring layers, lunch and drink - check out the Guides section for a kit list. Maps will be provided but if you have your own you are welcome to bring it.
